Grass Roots Press

Dear Colleague,
Grass Roots Press is a division of Literacy Services of Canada Ltd. The parent company specializes in adult literacy research, while Grass Roots Press publishes and distributes adult literacy resources.
Grass Roots Press was established in 1998. The company was founded on the belief that the best resources are those developed by literacy educators. Our first catalogue, which featured 25 titles, was distributed to a few hundred literacy programs. Today, our publication line consists of approximately 500 titles that are sold to over 2,600 customers in Canada, the United States, the UK, New Zealand, and Australia. Over the past decade, we have carved out a strong niche in the field of adult basic education.
Dr. Pat Campbell, the President of Literacy Services of Canada Ltd., has over 25 years experience in the field of adult literacy as a reading specialist program coordinator, researcher, teacher, facilitator, curriculum developer, author and editor.
We acknowledge the financial support of the Government of Canada through the Canada Book Fund for our publishing activities. We also acknowledge the support of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts for our publishing programs.
