Description
The Active Reader series is based on the premise that fluent readers actively engage with the text, using a variety of strategies. The Active Reader 1 provides balanced, integrated instruction for beginning readers. Each unit provides opportunities for assisted reading and writing activities. The photostories provide a context for teaching word identification strategies such as phonics, word families, and prediction. Each workbook contains an answer key.
